Finding special dog food online.

http://www.petsuppliesandtraining.net/2010/March/Finding-special-dog-food-online.htm

I have been doing some research online concerning the availability of a special dog food. My oldest dog Rupert is have digestive problems and the vet who treats my dogs suggested I try a couple of different dog food brand's to help Rupert and his digestion problem. I have looked and researched both brand's of dog food he recommended and I am glad my vet suggested I find the dog food online because the cost per case online is much lower than he was going to charge me if he ordered the dog food. This is a special dog food for older dogs with very high quality ingredients and vitamins mixed in with the dog food to promote not only easy digestion but also provide the necessary minerals and vitamins older dogs need. Vitamin pills for older dogs are also an option to meet Ruperts needs in the area but I like the fact the dog food has all this included as Rupert does not like to take the daily vitamin I now give him. He just spits it back out. I try and sneak it into the dog food I currently feed him but he will eat the dog food and leave the vitamin. While looking online for the special dog food I found a nice web site featuring another product I have been thinking of buying for my gardening. The Tomato Plus Planter And Tomato Stand at one of the Top Line Pet Supply iMall stores is very similar to what my mom bought last year for growing strawberries in.
Her hanging planters are not on a hooked stand like this one pictured as she has them hanging from her back porch. I like this style of hanging tomato planters because with the stand they can be moved as needed to catch more sun. Filled with a good soil and fertilizer mom's strawberry plants really grew well last year and this year she is expecting them to do even better. This is a great product for those who do not have the space for a vegetable garden but wish to grow tomatoes, flowers, strawberries, and other plants. Located online at www.toplinepetsupply.com are many great pet products like the dog food I need for Rupert and the web site also has an imall with many other stores offering all kinds of different products. This is a web site I will be using quite often.

Rabbit Hutches Offer Sanctity to Mr. Cottontail

Growing up my neighbor used to have a couple all white bunnies that would hop around their large, fenced off yard before retiring into a cage at night. Like a dog who hasn’t been trained to stay around home, the little bunnies would try and escape if we didin’t watch their every hop around the yard. Nothing scared them more then their big friendly black lab, Rex. Rex munched down enough dog food for two but would never think of hurting the little bunnies. At first sight, the bunnies would run back into their cage under the rabbit hutches and cower in fear. They probably would have had a heart attack if it wasn’t for this safe place.

I don’t think I’ll ever own a bunny but if I did the first thing I’d buy online would be rabbit hutches. Rabbits are the softest, most skittish animals out there and need a place to hide when something creeps them out. Mr. Cottontail was never known for being brave.

I love my dog – he is like my furry little child. That being said, the only real way to dress him in style is by using designer leads and collars. I have so far, I am proud to say, been able to get my hands on some really nice designer leads and collars that he just looks great in. One of them is this really cute black leather collar that has some big spikes on it, making him look like this hulky manly pup. I have to say that on another, and in a closing note here, I never thought that I would get the deals on the designer leads and collars that I did. And if you have ever seen what they charge locally for designer leads and collars – then just imagine paying far less and we are on the same page here folks!

Healthy dog food for your doggy.

http://www.petsuppliesandtraining.net/2010/February/Healthy-dog-food-for-your-doggy.htm

All pet owners love their pets and we want to provide them with the best foods and other products to enhance their health and well being. Choosing the best dog food for your particular breed of dog is the foundation for a happy, healthy dog. Over many years of owning several different breeds of dog I have learned that the same brand of dog food does not work for each dog. They are a lot like people in that they have different likes and dislikes in the dog food I feed them, just like people have different tastes in the food we eat. One piece of advice I would like to share concerning dog food is feeding a dog the same foods people eat. Call it table scraps or whatever, this is not a good idea as this keeps the dod from eating the specially produced dog food we put out for them to eat. Feeding a dog table scraps disrupts their digestive system and does not provide the best nutrition for a healthy pet. I combine a quality dog food with a quality daily supplement vitamin for my dog's and this helps them maintain good nutrition and optimal health. While looking online for a refill of the vitamins I give my dogs I found another item all dog owners need, flea and tick treatments. Last summer was by far the worst summer I can remember for fighting the flea problem. My vet and the groomer I take the dogs to also agreed they had not seen the flea problem as bad as last summer. It was a constant battle to keep the dogs free of fleas and I had to not only take them to the groomer for monthly flea dips, but also combine this with monthly treatments of the best flea and tick medicine treatments on the market. This heavy dosing concerned me as I did not want to over do the treatments, so I was interested when I located Top Line Pet Supply. This is a web site selling many great dog products including dog food, leads and collars, and natural flea and tick treatments. The Defeat Da Fleas product caught my eye and after reading the description of what is used for this natural flea and tick treatment for dogs I am going to give it a try.
Located online at www.toplinepetsupply.com are all the natural dog and other pet supplies any pet owner will need to keep their pet healthy and happy.

It has been about five years since I had a dog of my own but I still remember how important it is to use leads and collars for showing that new pup who is boss. I got to thinking about this yesterday while taking a friend’s dog, Rex, mentioned in the post below that looks exactly like the dog in the picture below, for a walk. From his apartment, we had to take the elevator down to the street. Waiting for the elevator too was a woman, a larger hunting dog that as soon as he saw Rex started whining and jumping around. As the woman shushed, Rex’s tail completely bent underneath himself and coward behind my legs.

As the dog kept barking, the woman got more and more embarrassed because Rex was not making a peep. Part of the reason for his good behavior was my buddy used leads and collars when he was little to teach him not to jump at fellow dogs or bark at people on the street. Every time his dog used to bark while on a walk, he would yank the leads and collars as a sign to quite down. It worked.

I was over at a friend’s house in the afternoon yesterday when he told me to check out some dessert dog food he’d bought for his little Terrier, Rex at some online store. The dog food treats were wrapped up in wax paper within a small cardboard box. I was expecting standard looking dog treats when he pulled back the wrapping but instead there was a slice of carrot cake that had my mouth salivating. As a joke, I asked him if he’d tasted them yet and without a blink he said yep. The carrot cake apparently tasted really good. The difference from standard human carrot cake was this one didn’t have sugar. The funny part was his pup wasn’t into the dog food.

So after pushing around a couple pieces of the doggy treats on the floor, Rex sniffed a couple times and then walked away leaving the food on the ground. Roles flipped for a second and instead of the dog cleaning up the food scraps on the ground, my buddy did and enjoyed every bite. I couldn’t stop laughing.

Almost every time I visit my mother she’s on her laptop looking for the best possible dog food or leads and collars for her babies. Those dogs are so healthy that they always look like they just came out of the package and with that brand new car smell too. Once my mother discovered the miracle of finding dog food online she has become quite the dog food detective. She loves the idea that the internet offers her the opportunity to buy any type of dog food she wants and she has found that the top of the line quality dog foods only available online. She has gotten her dog food down to such a science that whenever she gets ready to put some more dog food in each of the babies food bowls they go crazy with excitement about their food. She has totally been able to find the perfect balance between taste and nutrition and she continues to try and to hone her dog food approach on a daily basis—lucky dogs.

This reminded me of the time my dad and I also set out to get my two pet bunnies a couple of rabbit hutches when I was five. Back then we didn’t have the marvel of the internet and therefore it was a lot harder to find variety in rabbit hutches, but with just a couple of minutes searching online we were able to find a plethora of really nice and stylish rabbit hutches to give my nephew some ideas. My little nephew, filled with excitement, sent everyone on his email list pictures of the rabbit hutches he wanted his bunnies to have and I have to say that those bunnies are going to be living in the lap of luxury combined with easy street added to totally spoiled. Let me tell you, if my old pet bunnies knew they could have lived in the rabbit hutches like the ones my nephew’s bunnies are going to enjoy, they would have hired a bunny lobbying firm and really leaned on me and my dad for some new bunny castles—It really is the best time to be a bunny.

http://www.petsuppliesandtraining.net/2010/February/How-We-Discovered-Its-Cheaper-to-Buy-Dog-Food-Online.htm

Last night I was browsing one of my favorite sites for dog food and other pet supplies when my husband entered the room to bring me a cup of coffee. I was grateful for it, since I was so cold and couldn't seem to get warm. While he was in the room, he asked what I was doing, and I explained that I was looking for dog food. Our conversation drifted to the fact that we couldn't believe our puppy was almost six months old and that it seemed like just yesterday we'd brought him home at two months old. The time had certainly flown by. He'd gone through numerous bags of dog food since then, and in the beginning I found it to be quite expensive.

I guess I'd never given it much thought that it was possible to find dog food and other pet items online for a better price than in the pet stores. Because of the breed of dog we purchased, we know that he needs to be fed premium food, so we were picking it up at the pet store. The prices for the dog food were outrageous, but the last time we were in the store, we had the food in our basket and a complete stranger asked me if I knew that we could get the same dog food online for almost half the price. I didn't know this lady from Adam, so I looked at her as though she were a little strange, but I was skeptical and wondering if she was serious. She said that she had bought dog food at this particular store for years until her best friend told her about a site online that sells the same food for a fraction of the price and she figured it wouldn't hurt to try it out. She said she hasn't bought dog food from the pet store since.

By this time I was interested and she was kind enough to write down the address. We left the food and went home to see if what she said was true. Sure enough, the dog food was much cheaper, and I've been ordering from online ever since. Last night, after placing the dog food in my cart, I decided to order the Tfh/nyla Durable Chicken Bone Giant that I found at Top Line Pet Supply whose online store can be found by visiting www.toplinepetsupply.com as well. Our pup loves treats and these would be something that I hoped would help him get through that chewing stage.

My recent troubles with leads and collars.

http://www.petsuppliesandtraining.net/2010/February/My-recent-troubles-with-leads-and-collars.htm

I have had one heck of a pain with leads and collars for walking my dogs. I must have had a brain fart because when I was in a well known shopping store last week buying dog food I glanced over at the rack full of leads and collars for walking small to horse size dogs. I had been planning to go online and find the best leads and collars for my two medium size dogs, around forty pounds each. See, the problem currently is when I or my grandson take the dogs for a walk around the neighborhood they pull so hard the leads and collars I now use allow the dogs to put to much pressure on their necks and throats. This is not good for the dogs so I have been planning on buying a fitted walking harness for each dog. Well, I did the dumb thing and picked up two medium size walking harness's and two of the pistol grip walking leashes that can be locked or opened to allow up to twenty feet of leash line out. I knew when I purchased these leads and collars that they were not what I really wanted but I decided to take a chance and see if they worked. Big mistake! My plan was to use these leads and collars to let the dogs run out in front of me while I puttered along behind them on my ATV. The next day I spent an hour figuring out how to properly put the harness's on the dogs Once this riot was over, I clipped on the new leads and off to the ATV we went. Now things got interesting. Between the dogs excitement at a romp in the snow and my starting the four wheeler they both pulled the pistol grip leash handles out of my hands and down the street they went. This resulted in one of the grips cutting my finger, blood was flowing and the dogs were no where in sight. I finally caught up to them on the ATV and after regaining control, or so I thought, we started up the street. This lasted all of thirty seconds until they crossed lines, broke the line on one leash, and wrapped the other line up in the wheel of the ATV.
When this cluster you know what finally made it home I had a broken leash, one of the harness's was pulled apart, and I had a bloody hand. So online I went and I found this leads and collars dog harness at Top Line Pet Supply located at www.toplinepetsupply.com. Every time I used to go down to the Southwest to visit my grandma, we would also see this aunt. In her backyard, covered with lemon trees, patches of crisp grass and cactus pet bird cages sat in the shade of a roofed sun deck. My first impression of birds was how loud they are. I never feel quite comfortable sticking my finger through pet bird cages for fear of getting bit.

My aunts bird of choice when we were kids was the dove. Beautiful, well mannered and always offering their soft coo on the hot summer days. Back then no one would even think of buying pet bird cages online because the web was in its infancy. Now there are animal stores all over the web offering savings on anything and everything a pet owner could want. I haven’t seen this aunt for many years but I bet she is cashing in on those online deals for her sacred birds.

It was sad because he was part of our family for so long but it didn’t come as a shocker. He held on much longer then we all expected. He lived to be 17.5 years old believe it or not. A few months before he did go to kitty heaven, his coat and frame looked as good as ever. Walking became really tough for him though. My mom was his main squeeze. She took care of the litter boxes, made sure he was feed and slept near him every night.

A month after it happened my mom says it’s still weird to go day to day without having to clean up or refill the litter boxes. Old habits die hard and after doing something for 17 years I’m sure it will be weird until new furry friend makes it into the house. It shouldn’t be long before they find another little kitty. Then new litter boxes will come back out and everything will go back to how it once was. It is amazing how quickly animals become part of the family.

He is a great addition to our family. The little pug has come into our lives and completely taken over. He has the run of the entire house, but nobody really minds. Well, until they step on dog food with their bare feet. One of the problems we have with our lovable dog is that he makes a huge mess when he eats his dog food. He doesn't just eat it, he jumps into it. I've never seen a dog do this before, but he can sure get the dog food all over the place.

We tried a lot of different things to get him to stop getting the dog food all over. Nothing really seemed to work. At one point we even bought him a large tray. We figured that if we only put a little bit of dog food in the center of the flat tray, he wouldn't get it all over the floor. We were wrong. In fact, not only did the dog food make it all over the floor, but we couldn't find the tray for about two days!

My husband thought that maybe we should just throw the dog food on the floor and be done with it, but I knew there had to be some way. We hired a dog trainer to come to our home and help with our problem. He came for a few weeks, worked with the dog, and nothing changed. We were still picking up dog food after he ate. Not one to give up, I went online looking for a solution. Anything!

I came to a pet supply website called Top Line Pet Supply. This online shopping site located at www.toplinepetsupply.com is now our favorite online shopping site. They have a huge selection of pet supplies and even solved our problem. There was a dog food bowl there called a Lixit No Mess Bowl 11 Inch. It has a base on it to keep it stable as well as being able to put a little water in it. Since our dog never spills his water - just the dog food - I thought this would work.

After ordering the bowl from Top Line Pet Supply we filled it up with dog food and waited to see what our dog would do. He went over to the bowl at a dead run, and quickly stopped. There was water in the base and he didn't want to spill it. It worked! No more food on the floor!

Several months ago when we brought our new puppy home, the breeder gave us enough dog food to carry us through for a while. I thought it was really sweet of her to include the dog food so that we wouldn't have to think about buying any for a while, but my husband said that she definitely included the cost of the dog food in the price we paid for the dog. That may be true, but I still thought it was nice since this way our puppy would get the dog food that he's used to having and we didn't have to worry about going out and finding which stores sold it and which didn't.

I noticed last week that the dog food was starting to get low and that we'd need to buy our own sometime very soon, so while we were out buying groceries, we stopped at the pet specialty store to check to see if they had the same brand dog food that the breeder had given us. They did, but I was surprised at the price, so I decided to check and see if there was a place online that I could get the dog food at a better price. After all, I could always go back and buy it at the store, but I had heard from other people that they order their dog and other pet foods online, so I knew it wouldn't hurt to try.

I browsed around the Internet for a short time looking for dog food when I came across Artemis Dog Can Food Mixed Flavors 13 oz/24 that I found at Top Line Pet Supply whose online store can be found by visiting www.toplinepetsupply.com. It was the exact dog food that I'd been looking for, plus it was priced at a significant savings over the price that I had found at the pet store. Needless to say, I ordered the dog food immediately and it should arrive just before the puppy runs out of food. I ordered enough that we shouldn't need to reorder for a while, but I know that from now on, I'll be ordering from Top Line Pet Supply anytime I need dog food or any other pet suppllies. I also noticed that they have supplies for cats and even rabbits, so when the time comes for me to order food for our cat, I'll probably order it online as well. Now that I know how much I can save, I can't imagine paying full price.

Unfortunately we had not been prepared, since we were going to go the the store the day it hit. I did a quick check of our food and water supply, which everything was ample. The only problem is that I only had about a one day supply of dog food. Now I know my dog would not mind eating human food far a few days, but he had an ulcer and had to eat a special dog food I could only get from my vet. We rashioned his food thinking that we would only be stuck home, at the most two days. Well it is five days today and the plows still have not even made it up here yet. Now I don't like breaking the law, but my dog needed some dog food. I jumped on my four wheeler and started the long ride to town. On my way out my neighbor stopped me and asked where I was headed. I told him I was on my way to the vets to get some dog food and milk. By the time I got out of my neighborhood I had a list three feet long!

I used to own a pet training and services company, and I cannot tell you how many different leads and collars that I had in my collection just for different personality types, all in order to safely and efficiently train that dog that I was caring for. For example, if you have a pup that pulls too much, they make leads and collars that have things that loop around their noses, which really work quickly to break the habit. Or, for another example, if you are training a dog for protection, which I also used to do, there are double-handled leads and collars that are designed just for that. Finally, if you are looking to train a pup to hunt and gather, there are leads and collars that have quick release snaps on them so they can go grab that duck you just banged in the outback. Indeed, leads and collars can really make the difference in the ease that you will find with training your dog!

There are some things in life, like dog food, that can really add up, especially if you are as fond of your furry little one as I am, and you want them to only eat the very best dog food. However, try looking at what the local pet supplies stores charge for specially formulated dog food, and you will balk at the prices; they are just off the charts. But, there are ways around this precarious indisposition, as it relates to overpriced dog food locally: online shopping. I like to shop for the dog food that I feed my pooch online for several reasons. One, I find far greater selection of the premium dog food that I want to feed to my canine, and two, I can order tons of dog food in bulk and save lots of money. Considering that dog food is not the cheapest thing in the world, a penny saved is truly a penny earned. And the online store that I purchase my dog food at has bulk shipping deals; which means that when I order a dollar amount that is so high, I don’t pay shipping. Factor this with no sales tax and the ease of online shopping, and you have a winner in my book!

I remember my daughter's rabbit hutches.

http://www.petsuppliesandtraining.net/2010/January/I-remember-my-daughters-rabbit-hutches.htm

When my oldest daughter was around ten years old she won two baby rabbits at the county fair, and insisted she bring the little rabbits home. She promised to feed and take care of the little bunny's so we gave in. I built two adjoining rabbit hutches with insulated plywood "homes" at one end, installed swinging doors and 5 foot "runways: for the little bunnie's. All went well for the first couple of weeks and then she lost interest in the rabbits. Who could have guessed that? I ended up at the rabbit hutches each morning and evening to see that they had water and fresh food. after about a year she agreed we should take the rabbit hutches and fully grown rabbits to a petting zoo. This we did, and that was the end of my families raising rabbits in rabbit hutches. This story bring me to the rabbit hutches I found online today. The SuperPet Grassy Hutch Large sold at Top Line Pet Supply is one of several grassy rabbit hutches made from all natural grass. The perfect hide-out that provides the ideal spot for your pet to rest and nest! Each nest is made of natural plant fibers hand-woven onto a sturdy support frame. These natural plant fibers are safe for your pets to graze and chew. Located online at www.toplinepetsupply.com are many products for most any pet imaginable. From pet bird cages to dog food they have it.
The use of rabbit hutches has a very interesting history. The origin of keeping rabbits in the hutch came not long after their domestication about three thousand years ago to be a food source for the Romans. Ancient Phoenicians invading the area now known as Spain found such large numbers of these lagomorphs living on the hillsides, they christened this land 'Hispania' - which translates into the Latin word for rabbit.1 Through their conquests and seafaring, Roman domestication of these hardy mammals helped propagate the globe with descendants of the European lagomorpha.

The Kitchen Hutch
The hutch design we think of today in its traditional form, with top-opening pitched lid and wire mesh bottom on stilts, was kept in the kitchen of large estate homes and palaces so kitchen staff would have the evening meal handy for the slaughter while probably also affording service staff and their children with a temporary pet. Eventually the hutch moved outside as homes got smaller during the rise of the Middle Class in the Victorian era. The idea of keeping rabbits as house pets probably began in this age as the fad of keeping pets in general became popular and possible for more people. No longer suffering from such vast social class division as they had in the age of aristocracies before the French revolution, Western society became more affluent and so did the rabbit's disposition amongst us. Around the beginning of the 20th century, we have evidence of the first house kept rabbit as pets in the West.

Hard to Find Air Filters Easily Found Online for Litter Boxes

http://www.petsuppliesandtraining.net/2010/January/Hard-to-Find-Air-Filters-Easily-Found-Online-for-Litter-Boxes.htm

The Internet is an amazing place to find things. I had to replace the filters on the litter boxes for the cats and couldn't find it locally, so I hopped online, did a search, and the right filters came up so I ordered the Petmate Zeolite Filter Replacement Large. We have two cats in the house and one of them is so fussy about the litter boxes that we have to keep them squeaky clean or he won't use them. He's such a nice cat and we clean the litter boxes once a day so that both cats are faithful about using them. We were fostering a female Bengal cat for a few months when he decided that his litter boxes were more than just places to relieve himself. They became places for him to mark his territory and if it had already been marked by him, he'd go elsewhere in the bathroom where we keep the litter boxes.

We really enjoy having cats at our house, but given how sensitive he is toward having other cats in the house, I am not sure we'll volunteer to foster cats anymore. He's pushing 19 or 20, so we might let him enjoy his very senior years in peace and quiet. When the Bengal was here, he didn't want to be in the house very much. Now that she's been adopted and out of our house, he's spending more time inside, something I'm really happy about.

We love having cats at home and having to clean the litter boxes is a small price for the hours of entertainment and companionship they give us. Our other cat is a two year old American Curl, and those are cats for families who want a cat that acts more like a puppy. This particular breed is considered the Peter Pan of cats because they remain playful during their entire lives. I can attest to that, too. She is a high energy, outgoing cat who loves my lap and believes she's a better typist than I am. Her voice has never changed from kittenhood, so her little kitty meow belies her plump size.

She's not as fussy about the litter boxes as our old guy is, but we don't want that tell tale odor in the house, especially since it's winter and all the windows are shut. So when I found these litter box filters online today, I ordered a dozen to get us through the many future years of having cats. I got these at Top Line Pet Supply located at www.toplinepetsupply.com and they should be here later in the week or next week. When they come, we'll replace the existing filters and I know everything with a heart beat in our house will be breathing easier.
