rabbit hutches, dog foodThe first thing I learned about pet bunnies is how skittish they are. Growing up my neighbor used to have a couple all white bunnies that would hop around their large, fenced off yard before retiring into a cage at night. Like a dog who hasn’t been trained to stay around home, the little bunnies would try and escape if we didin’t watch their every hop around the yard. Nothing scared them more then their big friendly black lab, Rex. Rex munched down enough dog food for two but would never think of hurting the little bunnies. At first sight, the bunnies would run back into their cage under the rabbit hutches and cower in fear. They probably would have had a heart attack if it wasn’t for this safe place.

I don’t think I’ll ever own a bunny but if I did the first thing I’d buy online would be rabbit hutches. Rabbits are the softest, most skittish animals out there and need a place to hide when something creeps them out. Mr. Cottontail was never known for being brave.
