I have had one heck of a pain with leads and collars for walking my dogs. I must have had a brain fart because when I was in a well known shopping store last week buying dog food I glanced over at the rack full of leads and collars for walking small to horse size dogs. I had been planning to go online and find the best leads and collars for my two medium size dogs, around forty pounds each. See, the problem currently is when I or my grandson take the dogs for a walk around the neighborhood they pull so hard the leads and collars I now use allow the dogs to put to much pressure on their necks and throats. This is not good for the dogs so I have been planning on buying a fitted walking harness for each dog. Well, I did the dumb thing and picked up two medium size walking harness's and two of the pistol grip walking leashes that can be locked or opened to allow up to twenty feet of leash line out. I knew when I purchased these leads and collars that they were not what I really wanted but I decided to take a chance and see if they worked. Big mistake! My plan was to use these leads and collars to let the dogs run out in front of me while I puttered along behind them on my ATV. The next day I spent an hour figuring out how to properly put the harness's on the dogs Once this riot was over, I clipped on the new leads and off to the ATV we went. Now things got interesting. Between the dogs excitement at a romp in the snow and my starting the four wheeler they both pulled the pistol grip leash handles out of my hands and down the street they went. This resulted in one of the grips cutting my finger, blood was flowing and the dogs were no where in sight. I finally caught up to them on the ATV and after regaining control, or so I thought, we started up the street. This lasted all of thirty seconds until they crossed lines, broke the line on one leash, and wrapped the other line up in the wheel of the ATV.
leads and collars, dog food   When this cluster you know what finally made it home I had a broken leash, one of the harness's was pulled apart, and I had a bloody hand. So online I went and I found this leads and collars dog harness at Top Line Pet Supply located at www.toplinepetsupply.com. I am stubborn, and this battle is far from over, so I have purchased two of the Coastal Holt Harness Medium and am gearing up for round two.
