Life is Weird without Litter Boxes |

About a month ago a cat I really grew up with passed away. It was sad because he was part of our family for so long but it didn’t come as a shocker. He held on much longer then we all expected. He lived to be 17.5 years old believe it or not. A few months before he did go to kitty heaven, his coat and frame looked as good as ever. Walking became really tough for him though. My mom was his main squeeze. She took care of the litter boxes, made sure he was feed and slept near him every night.
A month after it happened my mom says it’s still weird to go day to day without having to clean up or refill the litter boxes. Old habits die hard and after doing something for 17 years I’m sure it will be weird until new furry friend makes it into the house. It shouldn’t be long before they find another little kitty. Then new litter boxes will come back out and everything will go back to how it once was. It is amazing how quickly animals become part of the family.
