dog food

We love our dog. He is a great addition to our family. The little pug has come into our lives and completely taken over. He has the run of the entire house, but nobody really minds. Well, until they step on dog food with their bare feet. One of the problems we have with our lovable dog is that he makes a huge mess when he eats his dog food. He doesn't just eat it, he jumps into it. I've never seen a dog do this before, but he can sure get the dog food all over the place.

We tried a lot of different things to get him to stop getting the dog food all over. Nothing really seemed to work. At one point we even bought him a large tray. We figured that if we only put a little bit of dog food in the center of the flat tray, he wouldn't get it all over the floor. We were wrong. In fact, not only did the dog food make it all over the floor, but we couldn't find the tray for about two days!

My husband thought that maybe we should just throw the dog food on the floor and be done with it, but I knew there had to be some way. We hired a dog trainer to come to our home and help with our problem. He came for a few weeks, worked with the dog, and nothing changed. We were still picking up dog food after he ate. Not one to give up, I went online looking for a solution. Anything!

I came to a pet supply website called Top Line Pet Supply. This online shopping site located at www.toplinepetsupply.com is now our favorite online shopping site. They have a huge selection of pet supplies and even solved our problem. There was a dog food bowl there called a Lixit No Mess Bowl 11 Inch. It has a base on it to keep it stable as well as being able to put a little water in it. Since our dog never spills his water - just the dog food - I thought this would work.

After ordering the bowl from Top Line Pet Supply we filled it up with dog food and waited to see what our dog would do. He went over to the bowl at a dead run, and quickly stopped. There was water in the base and he didn't want to spill it. It worked! No more food on the floor!
