I was over at a friend’s house in the afternoon yesterday when he told me to check out some dessert dog food he’d bought for his little Terrier, Rex at some online store. The dog food treats were wrapped up in wax paper within a small cardboard box. I was expecting standard looking dog treats when he pulled back the wrapping but instead there was a slice of carrot cake that had my mouth salivating. As a joke, I asked him if he’d tasted them yet and without a blink he said yep. The carrot cake apparently tasted really good. The difference from standard human carrot cake was this one didn’t have sugar. The funny part was his pup wasn’t into the dog food.
So after pushing around a couple pieces of the doggy treats on the floor, Rex sniffed a couple times and then walked away leaving the food on the ground. Roles flipped for a second and instead of the dog cleaning up the food scraps on the ground, my buddy did and enjoyed every bite. I couldn’t stop laughing.
