dog food

Several months ago when we brought our new puppy home, the breeder gave us enough dog food to carry us through for a while. I thought it was really sweet of her to include the dog food so that we wouldn't have to think about buying any for a while, but my husband said that she definitely included the cost of the dog food in the price we paid for the dog. That may be true, but I still thought it was nice since this way our puppy would get the dog food that he's used to having and we didn't have to worry about going out and finding which stores sold it and which didn't.

I noticed last week that the dog food was starting to get low and that we'd need to buy our own sometime very soon, so while we were out buying groceries, we stopped at the pet specialty store to check to see if they had the same brand dog food that the breeder had given us. They did, but I was surprised at the price, so I decided to check and see if there was a place online that I could get the dog food at a better price. After all, I could always go back and buy it at the store, but I had heard from other people that they order their dog and other pet foods online, so I knew it wouldn't hurt to try.

I also noticed that they have supplies for cats and even rabbits, so when the time comes for me to order food for our cat, I'll probably order it online as well. Now that I know how much I can save, I can't imagine paying full price.
