Dog Leads and Collars can Make all the Difference! |

My dogs like to take me for a walk! Let's be real now, if you own a large sized dog, who actually takes who for a walk? I have two big puppies and they both look forward to their daily trots around the block. I had an old set of leads and collars, in fact they were a little ragged and worn. I wondered if getting new ones would make this task easier...
Imagine walking two large mutts with little to no official training and old worn out leads and collars. It was quite the challenge. So much so, I even thought about foregoing these daily endeavors. But the dog were relentless and I couldn't resist their excitement at the site of their leads and collars.
That is when I had to get serious about how this event was taking place. Each dog was fitted with their own brand new leads and collars. My crazy and most excitable girl got a metal collar that poked into her neck. It's may sound cruel, but trust me, it got her attention, did not hurt her a bit and it did not take long for her to mind me better. My big boy dog simply needed a metal choke collar. With the leads and dog specific collars I was able to walk my two large dogs at the same time and they no longer led the pack, no Mama did! |
